What inspired you to go into engineering?

I really enjoyed product design at school.

What do you love about your job?

Being creative to solve real life problems.

How did you get your job?

I moved to Cornwall for a role in Cornwall Startup, the role really suited my skill set. I have since expanded my skill set and moved to other local businesses. This kept me in Cornwall, I never planned to stay.

What advice would you give to a young person looking to start a career in your industry?

Do what you enjoy, you’re more likely to stick at it and show natural enthusiasm with employers.

Why would you encourage more girls to pursue a career like yours?

So girls get chosen for events because they are good engineers, not because they’re female.
